The PTA has monthly meetings where we gather to discuss how we can improve
our school and enrich the learning environment for our children. PTA meetings are typically the second Thursday of the month (be sure to check the calendar) in the McKinley Cafegymitorium. We begin with a pot-luck dinner at 5:30pm, a half-hour before the meeting, which provides a comfortable atmosphere for parents, students, teachers and staff to socialize. Bring an appetizer, entree, or fruit to share, or come just for the meeting, which starts promptly at 6pm. Children are welcome--childcare will be provided by ASEP. We strive to keep the meetings short and on topic so we can go home by 7:30pm. The agenda is distributed in the Wednesday folder before the meetings and posted online here. McKinley Elementary School 2009-10 PTA Officers
Aaron Anderson, PTA President
Aaron is happy to have both of his children, kindergarten and second grade, at McKinley this year. He works for San Francisco State University as the Director of the Executive MBA Program, and outside of work, he has been a avid trail runner since 1979, and a windsurfer since 1983.
Georgia McNamara, Vice President
Georgia has a fourth grader at McKinley and her second child will begin kindergarten in 2010. She served as PTA Secretary last year and works part-time as an internet consultant, which sounds more glamorous than it is.
Jean Micheli, 2nd Vice-President
Jean is a first grade teacher at McKinley. She has been a teacher for 33 years, 13 at McKinley. She is the driving force behind the Marin Headlands field trips.
Kim Krogan, Secretary
Kim has a first grader and her next child will be in kindergarten in 2012. Before moving to San Francisco from Canada, she worked as a project manager at a Environmental Laboratory. She enjoys playing sports and hanging out with family and friends.
Denise Lawwill, Treasurer
Denise has a second grader at McKinley, and her second child will start in Kindergarten in 2012. Denise was Financial Secretary last year, and loves 80's music, photography, books and mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Aloisia Stevens, Financial Secretary
Aloisia has a son in first grade and this is her first elected PTA position. She's a clothing designer who’s turning wardrobe consultant. She likes to travel and practice yoga.
Annie Bauccio Moore, Vice President of Development
Annie has a daughter in third grade, a son in first, and looks forward to her third child beginning kindergarten in 2011. This is her second year in this position. Annie is an organizing professional and enjoys cooking, baking, and writing.
Patricia McFadden, Vice President of Communications
Patricia has a son in second grade and a son in kindergarten. This is her second year in this position. When not having fun with the family, she enjoys sewing and photography.
Shellie Wiener, Parliamentarian.
Shellie has a son in fifth grade at McKinley and will be very involved in choosing a middle school this year. Shellie is a past McKinley PTA President. She enjoys reading fiction and tracing family genealogies.
