Each year, parents and other caregivers support McKinley in dozens of ways. Our participation enriches the education of all of our children. Everyone has something to offer and the school--and your child--will benefit from your efforts.

Weekends:

__ Representing McKinley at open houses and enrollment fairs

During the School Day:
__ Tutoring
__ Special events like the Halloween parade, pumpkin patch, United Nations days, Junior Olympics, etc.
__ Classroom volunteering

__ School tours for recruitment
__ Playground: monitoring students or leading activities during recess

Evenings:
__ Fundraising events like Books Inc.
__ PTA hospitality: help set up and clean up at monthly meetings
__ Performances: costumes, set-up and clean-up
__ Make presentations at school info nights for incoming kindergarten parents
__ Grade-level potluck/bingo nights: organize a social event for your child’s grade

__ Translating PTA announcements, etc. into Spanish
